It was dark, nothing but the streetlamps outside somewhat illuminating the room. Bartek stole inside as quietly as possible, closing the heavy oak door behind him with care. His eyes took a moment to adjust to the darkness but once they did...

There he saw his little treat. Curled up on his bed, halfway tangled in the silken robe Bartek had ordered Mister Fallat to buy a week ago. Bartek just stood there for a minute. Listening to the light snores of the sleeping man.

Were he a good man, he would’ve let him sleep. Join him quietly and rest beside him. It was late after all.

But today he was no good man.
